Harvest Technician

The Harvest Technician provides on-site support for the harvesting, trimming, and packaging of cannabis and completes tasks assigned by the Harvest Team lead to ensure the visual aesthetics and high quality of Muskoka Grown products. The Harvest Technicians carry out day-to-day tasks including cleaning, cutting, trimming, racking, drying, and packaging. Excellent personal hygiene, workspace cleanliness, and quality control measures to ensure high quality product must be maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and/or maintain vegetative growth protocols and nutrient regiment.

  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance with

  • Health Canada and other regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure the cultivation team follows SOPs.

  • Review everything related to crop protection and plant nutrition with Master Grower.

  • Supervise irrigation, fertigation and growing practices, monitor pH and EC on daily basis.

  • Manage scheduling and organization to precisely project and meet all vegetative production needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

  • Work with Master Grower and cultivation team to provide an accurate availability of starter plants as needed.

  • Accurately track and report plant inventory.

  • Ensure a safe work environment for all employees and housekeeping on all propagation areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience within the Cannabis/Horticulture industry is an asset.

  • Two years of experience in general production, preferably a regulated industry producing for human consumption. Or, any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the above-described duties.

  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Must be able to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Completion of secondary school.

  • Knowledge of the ACMPR and Cannabis Act regulations an asset.
