The Harvest Technician provides on-site support for the harvesting, trimming, and packaging of cannabis and completes tasks assigned by the Harvest Team lead to ensure the visual aesthetics and high quality of Muskoka Grown products. The Harvest Technicians carry out day-to-day tasks including cleaning, cutting, trimming, racking, drying, and packaging. Excellent personal hygiene, workspace cleanliness, and quality control measures to ensure high quality product must be maintained at all times.
Responsible for harvesting and trimming cannabis while ensuring high quality and visual aesthetics of finished product.
Safe and proper use and operation of industrial machinery, equipment, and hand tools.
Perform repetitive tasks for long period of time while maintaining high attention to detail.
Strictly adhere to SOPs (standard operating procedures) in a GMP (good manufacturing practices) facility.
Accurately record information in controlled documents as required.
Strictly adhere to all health and safety requirements.
Maintain proper security protocols.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Two years of experience in a general production, preferably a regulated industry producing for human consumption. Or, any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the above-described duties. Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
Good oral and written communication skills
Completion of secondary school.
Minimum of 2 years experience within the Cannabis/Horticulture industry an asset.
Knowledge of the ACMPR and Cannabis Act regulations an asset.
