Muskoka Grown is looking for an enthusiastic Grow Technician to help support our growing staff and assist with the production of our product. The applicant will be eager to learn all aspects of the industrial cannabis production/processing space.
This role will assist in the harvesting, trimming, and packaging operations of Muskoka Grown’s cannabis cultivation facility, including harvesting processes, packaging, and regulatory compliance.
Maintain the health of all plants at the facility.
Understanding the cannabis starting materials, processing techniques and, product security measures.
Catalog and analyze each individual strain from clone to flower to harvest with individual maintenance of each cannabis plant. Cloning and manage vegetative stage with at least a 90% success rate.
Develop and execute irrigation, nutrient supply plans to ensure optimum plant growth and maximize finished product output.
Maintain proper security protocols put in place at the facility.
Watering and feeding of all plants to manager’s request.
Transplanting clones and veg plants.
Taking clones to meet production batch size and variety requirements.
Grinding and proper disposal of plant waste.
Monitoring temperature & humidity in each grow room.
Clean trays, water lines, hoods, and room for reset.
Assist with the maintenance of warehouse equipment (fans, lights, pumps, meters, etc.).
Regularly inspect plants for pest issues (insects, mold, etc.) and carry out as per management plan.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
Strictly follow all ACMPR and all internal SOPs and health and safety regulations.
Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience within the Cannabis/Horticulture industry an asset.
Knowledge of the ACMPR and Cannabis regulations.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of base strains viz., Sativa, Indica and knowledge of therapeutic effects of strains and types of medicinal administration.
Researched in new techniques and insight to expand knowledge in nutrient needs of individual strains, high yield recipes, controlled stress environments of different lighting systems requirements, moisture level controls, and setups.
Understand growing methods, including in-depth knowledge of pH, ppm and EC counts.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
Cannabis/Horticulture: 2 years (Required)
High school or equivalent (Required)
